The wife needed to run some errands today in Thmor Da, so I drove the tuk-tuk and took her along with me to get the kids from school.
🛺 3 Wheels, 3 Sleepy Passengers 😴

Usually the rides back home from school are filled with yawns, but there is also a 435cc diesel engine burbling just under their butts and the road is full of potholes, some the size of a small car, and this requires a lot of jerky movements. The journey also involves going over two curvy mountain passes, oh, and there's a lot of hard braking too.

I was shocked to turn around while driving and see my ladies semi-conscious on the bench seat.........
"Did the diesel fumes overwhelm them?" "Did a stranger drug my family?" "Are they alive?"
The Tuk-Tuk Ninja Grip 🥷

It was hard for me take pictures because I have to manage the clutch and throttle with both hands, but I noticed in this pic that my wife is completely asleep, but still maintaining a death grip on one of the canopy bars. There are no doors and no seatbelts, and the bench seat is slick vinyl, and the last thing I want is to watch a family member fly out of the tuk-tuk on a hard corner and soar over the cliff like a superhero 🦸♀️.

Luckily the ladies all have their own individual technique for wedging themselves in the seat in order to sleep on long tuk-tuk trips, but I've never seen them sleep on the fairly short drive back home from school, must mean today was a tiring one for all.
I Found The Hideout 🐀

When we got back home we all felt like taking a nap, and that's exactly what happened, but not before I noticed a tail poking out of the wall. I always keep a rat trap set at night, and any rodents I catch I set free far from my home. At the moment there is a duo on the loose, and so far they've avoided the trap, seemingly not fans of peanut butter like the last rat squatter family I relocated.
If I was cruel I would've grabbed its tail, but instead I touched it just enough to let this cheeky little thing I found his daytime hideout. I'll be changing the location of trap based on this new info, and another detail I know about this rat couple, they prefer bar soap and feces over the bananas on the table they have yet to bite.
