We'll come back to the air freshener in a bit, but first I'd like to share with you one of our sittin' spots, the doorway. The doorway is the best for eating spicy finger foods like mango with crushed chilies and salt. Also, the door provides a nice backrest when your undersized castle isn't equipped with a kitchen table and chairs, or even a kitchen for that matter.
Badminton Skillz 🏸
Monkey-B has been perfecting the art of balance while learning how to ride her bicycle, and Srey-Yuu wants to improve her badminton skills, so I gave her this exercise to help with the quick hand-eye coordination required for this addictive sport.
When not using the badminton rackets to hit the shuttlecock, we're probably using mosquito racket indoors. The mosquito racket is good exercise too, plus it makes a spark when the mosquitoes explode, super exciting stuff.
I Spy A Monkey-B 🕵️
The day basically turned into a quest for GIFs, and when I caught Monkey-B doing her sister's Word Search book, I had to secretly record a short video. She makes some incredible facial expressions when studying, so full of personality. In the absence of any outdoor furniture, the tuk-tuk makes a pretty nice hut to escape the heat of the brick walls.
Back To The Apsara Air Freshener 👃
I can't remember where I purchased this thing, but when I saw Cambodia's most famous traditional dance turned into a cheap air freshener, I had to have it just for the strange factor. If you don't know what Apsara dancing is, I have included a video below to give you an idea. There are obvious Javanese and Indian influences, both countries that played major roles in Cambodia's historical cultural influence.
