Today Srey-Yuu returned home from school with a sore throat and immediately fell asleep on the bed, and Dr. Meow immediately got to work.
👩⚕️ No Stethoscope For Cat Doctors 😻

ChairWoman Meow is first and foremost a communist kitty, but she is also a part-time hoo-man physician, offering proletariat medical services totally free of charge. My wife was gone on a road trip and Srey-Yuu was sick on the bed, and with a total of 4 guests staying here at the moment, I had to clean the house, cook meals, and do various other things that prevented me from looking after Srey-Yuu. Luckily Dr. Meow took this responsibility upon herself, and although she prefers my lap during the daytime, she abandoned me to help a patient, seemingly aware that her throat needed some purr medicine between 25 and 150 Hz.

All that purring left Meow a little drained of energy, so when she left Srey-Yuu for a few moments to check her food bowl, she looked at me in a strange and slightly violent way as if to let me know that medical services require more seaweed and nutritional yeast. I like my yeast, impossible to find in Cambodia, but with a menacing look like that, I complied quickly.
💤 Time For The Doc To Rest

I have always been a dog lover, but ever since Meow forced her way into my house and life I have become enamoured with cats, well at least this particular furball. She's learned that my computer chair is an important place that I visit often, and if she sleeps on it that she will get her cuddles when I return to reclaim my throne.

Cats incredible ability to purr fascinates me, and since this furball came into my life I have been researching this magical ability in my freetime. It seems everything from healing broken bones faster to lowering stress hormones can all be done with the simple purr. There is much more anecdotal information than scientific facts about the kitty purr, but I am a believer from firsthand experience as a non-cat-lover. This creature is from another galaxy, and and scientists seem to have a better understanding of volcanoes and the ocean floor than they do kitty purring.
🔤 Alphabet Soup

With the wife on the road, Srey-Yuu sick, 4 houseguests staying with us, and a nearly empty refrigerator, I did my best to make a rasam without tomatoes. A handful of chopped cabbage and some green onions were all I had for this batch, but everyone seemed to be satisfied, likely because I threw in some alphabet pasta. I took this picture after telling Monkey-B not to spell any bad words inside her mouth.
👩⚕️ The Doc's Second Shift

Meow went missing sometime after lunch, and I looked all over the house wondering if she had left for some hunting or was hiding somewhere in the house. Of course she had decided to check on her patient, somehow getting inside the blanket and making herself a cave nest without disturbing Srey-Yuu. She winked at me when I snapped a pic as if to let me know she's got this under control. I sensed she wanted me to back off so she could continue her healing magic, so I let her do her thing.
