Although Chairwoman Meow is not technically our kitty, she has almost completely abandoned her cat mom and home next door in order to spend more time with us.
Questionably Vegan ๐ฅ

ย ย ย Chairwoman Meow has access to all the fish and bones she could ever want in this village, and there are plenty of mice, rats, and lizards to hunt as well. However, our house is a vegan one, and yet the Chairwoman chooses to spend her time with us. She's shown a liking for many vegan foods, particularly chak-kvay, a kind of Chinese spongy breadstick.

ย ย ย Some nights she stays with us, and will usually cuddle each family member for a number of hours before moving onto the next human. She recently stayed with us for about 24 hours without ever going outside, and I've learned she's afraid of the storms because she digs her claws into me when the rains get heavy.
Not Fond Of Storms ๐ฉ๏ธ

ย ย ย She is a very pensive cat, and I sometimes think she ponders deep existential thoughts like the struggle between being a vegan or being a godless carnivorous killing machine. I have never been much of a cat lover, but there have been a few felines that have won my heart. At the top of the list is Chairwoman Meow, and in the month or so that she's been spending a lot of time at our place, she's brought us all a lot of joy and laughter.

ย ย ย She is very tender with Monkey-B too, and I have seen her take up a protective nesting position on Monkey-B's chest in the middle of the night. This little furball has broken all our rules like no animals in the house, and certainly none on or in the bed. Well, what can I do? When this little purring furball of cuteness wants to lay on us, the vibrations and heat from her body always make us fall asleep, and then she takes over the bed, what a smart kitty.
