I really ought to find something else to post about other than Ms. ChairWoman Meow, but she is just too darn cute and cuddly.
Easily Distracted 🔑
In the wee hours of the morning I have a friend that keeps me company, the one and only coolest Cambodian kitty around, ChairWoman Meow. She likes to hunt insects at this time, and I happen to be doing Hive stuff usually, so the of us often hang out and reminisce. I usually place her on top of the fridge so she can snatch geckos off the wall, but if there are no geckos she'll settle for a motorbike key.
With no distractions in the way, she is free to peer down in the fridge/wall crevasse for reptilian lifeforms, and this often entertains us both for 30-40 minutes. My computer desk faces the fridge, so I watch Meow watching geckos, giving any emotional support and encouragement needed.
📸The Catwalk
The easiest place to get good photos of Meow when she's awake is to simply walk to the outhouse. Our house has a small lip where the foundation meets the walls, and Meow uses this as her catwalk, keeping her feet clean and looking like a furball runway model. She still doesn't seem brave enough to wander far without a protective cat dad watching over.
🧳 Meow Has Travel Aspirations
Recently I was sorting through some things and the ChairWoman saw my passport. She inquired about passports and their purpose, so I told her silly hoo-mans can't cross imaginary invisible lines without them. She then ruthlessly attacked a rolling duffel bag to show me that cats don't need luggage to travel nor do they have any respect for the concept of countries and borders.
Monkey-B has bee a bit under the weather with a fever, so Meow did what she does best and slept beside her on the bed to comfort her or mock her, not sure how cats think. I do feel Meow is genuine in her actions with hoo-mans, so I let them both be lazy and regenerate life energy for a few hours.
