Recently Srey-Yuu introduced ChairWoman Meow to the luxurious comfort of laying in a hammock, something kitties don't usually choose to do on their own.

👩‍💻 Nim Considers Hive

Srey-Yuu recently offered to help a neighbor girl start her Hive journey, mostly because she said she has no money for school. Things started out well until Nim made a deal with my wife to collect rocks from the river for 50 cents a bucket.

The prospect of earning $10 to $20 on her first post with Srey-Yuu doing everything for her other than narrating the content didn't seem as easy as just earning 50 cents for a bucket of rocks. Of all the people in our village, I have the most hope for Nim, but even she seems resistant to challenge herself, something it seems the country as a whole has some sort of fundamental problem with.

🫣 Peek-A-Boo

While sitting at my desk, I looked through the window and saw Srey-Yuu staring at me with a goofy face. I decided to take a picture of this silly teenager without even disturbing my wife who was deep inside her phone, only a few inches from me, but yet totally unaware.

After that shot I decided to get up from the desk and head out to the balcony to show you all the view I enjoy every day. There are a lot of hardships that we face living in such an extreme microclimate, but it all seems worth it when I am reminded of the natural beauty that surrounds us. No matter how many 60-hour work weeks I would've done in the USA, no amount of money I could've earned there would've ever given me a life beyond anything other than life in a trailer park.

😴 Furry Family Member Check-In

ChairWoman Meow has truly taken of our lives and property, but I am okay with it as long as I see no rodents or snakes in or near our house. As long as Meow holds up her end of the bargain, she is allowed to claim my side of the bed during the day when the kids are at school and the wife is out and about.

Sometimes when I watch Meow napping I am so overcome with the cuteness that I forget how cruel the world really is. My little kitty friend has taught me so much about how to enjoy the tiniest of moments and simplest things in life, and I am eternally grateful for that.

😺 The Joy Of A Hammock

rrrr.png

Srey-Yuu decided to introduce Meow to the world of hammocks recently, and I reminded her that as long as Meow doesn't have to exit the hammock on her own, she would likely not be traumatized by the experience.

jnjnj.png

I've already seen Meow try to jump through the window from an office chair. Things went horribly wrong when the office chair spun around, Meow's jump was miscalculated, and it sent her running from the room at full speed, still uneasy around this chair after a few weeks.

If Meow has to self-launch out of the hammock with no assistance, the experience will surely result in claws, shredding, trauma, and probably a slashed hammock. So far so good though, and somehow she seems to know that hammocking is not a solo adventure, but a world intended to share with hoo-mans.

Srey-Yuu even managed to sneak out of the hammock without waking Meow, allowing for a cute picture of Cambodia's most awesome cat just living her best hammock life. If she'd woke up without us around, there'd have been a small chance she accidentally launched herself into the river below in a panicked jump. I scooped her out of the hammock after this shot and let her reclaim my side of the bed.
