While trying to locate Monkey-B today, I began wandering around the house, then looked outside and found her making a small fire in the middle of the old road.

Monkey-B has been helping me in the kitchen on occasion during her school break, and one of our most recent projects was to process all the overripe bananas and freeze them for a huge batch of smoothies, vegan ice cream, or whatever is the most appropriate name for blended frozen bananas and coconut milk. The above pic was taken long after banana prep, with my young sous chef wiping the table clean.
Pyromaniac On The Loose 👩🚒
It's been quite a while since I made a bonfire in the evening for the family to enjoy, and apparently this was the reason that caused Monkey-B to make a fire in the middle of the road. Well, to me, it looks like she was having more fun building this little fire than enjoying it, and that makes me think the lack of a bonfire lately is just a convenient excuse to indulge Monkey-B's newfound sense of pyromania.
Of course I gave her a safety talk, but I didn't completely forbid her little fire project. In this day and age of smart screens embedded into everything, even kids living in the mountains or countryside can be stuck to a screen all day just like kids in the cities. With that in mind, seeing my daughter play outside without being forced to is a pretty big win. Guess it's time to make a proper bonfire this weekend 🤔😁.
