I spent my last days in Phnom Penh just vegging in the hotel room, spending quality time with the family, and looking for a place to store the tuk-tuk.

๐Ÿ›บ Yin Sarak For 24/7 Auto Storage ๐Ÿš™

ย  ย  ย It took several days of research to find a suitable place to stash the tuk-tuk in Phnom Penh while I am in the USA. My wife can't drive it, so therefore she can't take it back to Steung Kach, but we had already heard from a cousin that there are auto storage places in the capital. Unfortunately the place our cousin linked us up with said that his business is better for overnight parking because there are so many rats.

ย  ย  ย We were told if we use the tuk-tuk daily it wouldn't be an issue, and most other monthly parkers use their cars daily. We needed a somewhat hygienic and pest-free location to stash the tuk-tuk, so we began researching online and through word-of-mouth, and I randomly stumbled upon Yin Sarak, $30 per month, very clean, secure, and professional.

One Last Dosa Corner Trip ๐Ÿด

ย  ย  ย Monkey-B is now a fan of idly, and prefers them to dosas. On our second and last trip to Dosa Corner, Monkey-B opted for Sambar Idly instead of her usual dosa choice, a true connoisseur of South Indian cuisine ๐Ÿ˜„. My wife and oldest daughter are still indifferent to Indian food, but Monkey-B and I share this passion because we are spicy I guess ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ.

Bye Srey-Yuu ๐Ÿ––

ย  ย  ย Of course I also took the family to several restaurants that Srey-Yuu and Pov like, mostly to Sumatra, an Indonesian restaurant near our favorite budget hotel in the Tuol Tomporng area of the city. Because Srey-Yuu is not a fan of being the subject in photos, I decided to snap a picture of her while she was distracted taking a picture of me. She'll be 14 years old in July, hard to believe my little Srey-Yuu is a young lady.

Peace Pov โœŒ๏ธ

ย  ย  ย My last pic in the tuk-tuk on the way to the airport was of my lovely wife Sreypov. Although I am more than upset that governments, borders, and visas are stupid and nearly useless, and because of this my wife and kids may not be able to ever meet my parents unless they make the choice to come to Cambodia one day, this separation is almost voluntary, just a short stay in the USA, perhaps 4 weeks, then I'll be back home in Cambodia. I had some visa complications and needed to leave and re-enter Cambodia, and the timing was such that I was already planning a trip to the USA this summer to see family members.

ย  ย  ย I've already been in the USA several days as I write this post, so hopefully the next post you see from me will be of 'Merican stuff.
