I’ve got a new furry friend in Pramaoy, our new neighbor’s neglected puppy, and she is so playful and full of character.
Bovine Friends Are Back Too 🐄
The small herd of cattle came to visit us after a few weeks of not grazing on our patch of gravel and trash. I guess I realize why they hardly come to our block of rooms, hardly anything to eat.
Our neighbors all burn and/or throw their trash at the back of the property, and this little patch of brush is where the cows try to graze occasionally. Without a doubt the cows’ stomachs all contain a fair amount of plastic because of this.
We have become the new secret gold mine for the cows because we put our vegan food scraps in front of the house, allowing them easy access to choice vitamins and minerals.
Khmer New Year Is Approaching 💦🔫
While parked outside the Pramaoy Market I saw the government and a music company making an announcement that a Songkran will be held this month at the local highschool. Luckily there will be some famous singers there whom the man on the microphone needed to be reminded their names.
Our Newest Friend 🐶
This cute little thing is the puppy of our newest neighbors, whom we secretly suspect are ladies of the night. Nothing wrong with this profession, but it’s still kind of taboo in Cambodia, so girls that do this for a living tend to be secretive and/or lie about why they’re in town.
On The Road Again 🛺
This morning I packed up the tuk-tuk for a trip back to what may be our future home. As I write the last words on this post, I am laying in a tent next to the creek we had a picnic at kat weekend, about to fall asleep. We’ll find out more tomorrow morning, so stay tuned Hivers….
