The @KidSisters are back in school on the Thai border and my in-laws are staying with us to help remodel the previous owner's poorly built cabin.

School Is Very Far 🛺

It is our only option, but taking my daughters to a very terrible school requires two 1+ hour roundtrip runs in the tuk-tuk, and also $6.00+ USD worth of diesel for the tuk-tuk. I'm not sure how I will be going forward with this situation because I already need to work on Hive 12+ hours a day lately, and I can't even find time to post every day when I factor in needing to help with the cabin occasionally, cook, and do other household chores.

Although I'm happy to see the kids in school, the drive wears me out and nearly costs me more than my monthly Hive earnings. And now that I'm too busy to post daily on Hive, I'm working with less while also needing to pay the construction in-laws almost $20 per day. Needless to say I'm panicking a bit, and when I wake up in my computer chair at 3am and walk to the bed, I usually regret not having finished a post.

Pramaoy Is Far Too 🚧

I won't mention how terrible the school is, I'll save that for another post, so let's get into the other news, the remodeling of our cabin has begun. We decided to use the walls of the shack/house by the highway to close the cabin's ceiling with wood planks and also build a loft to provide some storage space.

The work is slow and steady, and as much as I wish I could help and oversee things a little more, I have to focus on earning so that I can pay them, far more important than making myself available, which time is not even something I have much of the way it is. I've found little time to engage with my fellow Hivers, and that is a huge regret, so I guess this is a public apology.

I obviously need to sit down and arrange some kind of time management system, and I think a good first step would be to create an "office space," a place where I can be productive and not interrupted or distracted every few minutes. My family and I have shared a prison-cell sized studio room most of our time together, so I think my daughters subconsciously need to be close to us at all times.

They even have their own room now, something they've wanted for so many years, but they're always within arm's reach of me during the day, something that decreases my productivity. Geez, this post turned into a bit of a rant, sorry folks, but not deleting this and starting over, no time for that. Once the cabin project is finished and we find a long-term renter or list it on Air BnB, we'll have some fiat income that will likely change our whole outlook.
