There is nothing I love more than filming slo-mo and making GIFs, so combining the two is about as much fun as I can have creating a post.
Past & Present 🏍️
I had some slo-mo videos from a recent trip to Pramaoy, and the super-duper one I used for the thumbnail was taken today. I told Monkey-B I was going to go swimming, and the pure excitement she feels when she it's river time is a joy to witness. The slo-mo videos of the passing motorbikes in Pramaoy were particularly fun to shoot because I couldn't see what they were doing until I watched the videos.
The above video was slo-mo gold, because I didn't know this woman was checking her phone at high-speed while passing through a crowded market area. That is some extreme multi-tasking, but I have seen many far more distracted drivers behind the steering wheel of a car. Most of the bikes in Cambodia are auto-clutch, so therefore the left is free for tasks like eating and operating a smartphone.
🍓 Speaking Of Eating...
Monkey-B's favorite fruit is rambutans, without a doubt. When she was 2 years old I actually use to call her rambutan in Khmer, which is "saov-maov." She earned this name on the first night we all spent together. I wanted to talk with @sreypov privately for 10 minutes, and during that timespan, Monkey-B ate the whole entire bag of rambutans that was meant to last us all 2 days.
Today my lovely wife made her legendary muskmelon dessert, consisting of palm sugar, soymilk, chopped muskmelon, and basil seeds. Back when we used to have a restaurant, I used to add a couple of shots of our homemade noni juice to this dessert, providing a nice little kick of sour and stink.
