Yesterday I inspected my daughters' room only to find that it would need to be cleaned, possibly their biggest pet peeve.
Gosh Dad!🙍🏽♀️
Before I even left their room, they knew their fate was sealed. I did the ole' "pull a few items away from the wall and inspect dirtiness" trick, revealing the effects of a few months of lazy sweeping and mopping. I let them them know this was the day for a real cleaning effort, and the usual grunts and moans ensued.
But as it always goes, 10 minutes of anger towards me eventually morphed into a bit of pride for the cleanliness state of their room. It now looks much better than before, but how long it lasts is anyone's guess.
Helmets & A Basket 🪖
We finally got some helmets for the @kidsisters, and even though my wife hasn't pursued learning how to ride her bike yet, I got a helmet for myself, so I've been getting the girls from school lately. The bike's ergonomics are way too small for me, but I can handle a 30-40 minute drive without too much of a backache.
Not What I Thought 🍋
There is a fruit in Cambodia known as "plae p'nyiev," and it looks very similar to the above fruit, which is what I thought the above fruit is, but it's not. This fruit is purely sweet, no sour, but "plae p'nyiev" is sweet and sour. I rarely come across new fruits in Cambodia, but this little gem is called "tuhlungtun" if I remember correctly.
Monkey-B recently chose to set up shop next to me on my desk, and she's been working on her first solo Hive post for about three weeks now. It's slow going, but stay tuned for a post from Monkey-B very soon, of course via @kidsisters, and with parental supervision.
