We're still on the road and Hivin' from @ahleap's house in Ta Khmau, which actually rests on the road and the Tonlé Bassac.
Racing The Clock At Mama Wong's ⏳

On one of our random trips into Phnom Penh we decided to stop at Mama Wong's Spicy Noodles for lunch. The place was quite busy, and we could only eat if we promised to be off the table by 1:00pm. By the time we got our food, we had 20 minutes to eat, pay, and leave. We were standing up to leave just as some folks with a reservation were walking in the door and needed a table.
🏫 More Expensive Doesn't Mean Better

Some of the most expensive per-month English classes in Cambodia can be found at ACE, the Australian Centre for Education, and the only bar they seem to have for their teachers is a university degree, something that most schools don't require in Cambodia. Unfortunately that is about the only requirement they have for foreign teachers, so in reality there is little difference between spending several hundred dollars a month here and spending $30 a month general English classes at any other Cambodian-owned English school.
📷 New Thumbnail For Srey-Yuu

Srey-Yuu and I were trying to drum up new thumbnail ideas for her Weekly "ASEAN Hive Top 3" curation series, and I decided to use the bottom flag banner as a border, so we substituted some cardboard and a little photo editing, but I also like the original photo of her happily grasping some cardboard and pretending to lean on it.
🚢 Bassac Boats

In a previous post I mentioned @ahleap's kitchen window that overlooks the Tonlé Bassac. When bored, I often wander over to the window to see if anything interesting is happening down below. One of the most common sites are the sand ships, sometimes accompanied by a dredger.

Most of the time these ships have Vietnamese captains, and I can only assume the sand goes to China in the end. All this dredging will eventually collapse the river bank that @ahleap lives on, so I hope this practice is eventually put to a stop because the long-term damage will cost much more to repair.
Vroom! 🛵 Vroom!

Earlier this morning @ahleap, @sreypov, and @mich.brmey all headed to the market for some shopping, so I asked them to pause for a brief photo on the motorbikes before they jetted off for some shopping.
📱 Monkey-B & Digital Books

Recently I've noticed the @kidsisters both getting bored with their iPads, so I decided to download several ePub books and their corresponding audiobook. I was able to find a few good ones, and now I think I may have Monkey-B interested in James & The Giant Peach. That's all for now folks, just a bunch of random glimpses of life from Kampuchea.
