This week's #WednesdayWalk might better be referred to as a "Wednesday Leap," because that's how Monkey-B and I's mini-adventure kicked off.
🚶♂️ Time For A Walk 🚶♀️
Monkey-B and I were both feeling a little bored today, so we decided to take a little stroll around the neighborhood here in Clevia, Suriname. You can see that Monkey-B highly approved of this idea in the above photo.
Before leaving the property we decided to explore the backyard a bit. We stopped by our favorite jumping spot along the canal for an action photo, and then continued our walk.
What Is That? 🕵️♂️
In the last week our next-door neighbor decided to clear out part of the forest and start growing some yardlong beans. It's a bit hard to see, but the future bean site is what's on the other side of the canal and at the back, complete with an umbrella and chairs for chillaxing.
Selfie Time 🤳
Near the corner of the property is a shade tree, a perfect opportunity for a Dad-Daughter selfie, even though I hadn't formally wrapped my turban. After this we continued on to @sreypov's insect hunting grounds, the banana garden.
Monkey-B randomly stopped short of the banana garden for a photo idea of her own, so I obliged. After this we continued our patrol while keeping an eye open for any interesting life forms, but none were to be found.
Sunny Shadows 👥
As we arrived back at our apartment, Monkey-B told me she wasn't done walking yet, and that she wanted to go to the bridge up the street. We passed the house, took a picture of our awesome shadow, and continued on.
Bridge Mission Complete 🌉
The bridge is only a few minutes from our driveway, and we quickly arrived with Monkey-B leading the way. The journey is sometimes better than the destination though, because there's nothing to do at the bridge, not even rocks to throw into the water below.
Without rocks to throw, might as well take a bridge pic and flex the 100% genuine Gucci shirt. We both somehow felt that not enough adventure had been achieved, so we contemplated on the bridge briefly while being scorched by the sun.
I asked Monkey-B if she wanted to walk alongside the canal and look at the big tree, and she agreed that would be a good way to end our walk together.
Just One More Thing 🌳
Perspective is sometimes a bit hard to show in photos, but we both promise this tree is impressively tall, worthy of taking a moment to admire it anytime we pass by.
Off in the distance we noticed a couple of cows, so we decided to go just a little farther and have a gander.
Here A Moo, There A Moo 🐄
They were cows indeed, but since the bull at the back gave us a couple aggro stomps, I decided to keep a safe distance. Besides, Monkey-B is more of a shepherdess than a cowgirl anyhow.
After enough adventure had been achieved, we headed back to the apartment. Monkey-B attempted to sprint all the way home from the bridge, but I found her walking slowly along the driveway and panting heavily.
